A friend who does OOP inspections has received letters
recently from the government that basically threaten his
license if he passes Skylines that are not 100% legit.He said these letter went out to all inspectors and basically
put an end to Skylines in AB. If you follow the law to the
letter it's next to impossible for a Skyline to pass inspection. Just the DOT headlights required are non existent.
I did hear that "The Skyline Shop" in BC is in the process
of designing and getting DOT approval on their own version
of headlights that would fit the Skyline? Who knows, sounds
like alot more trouble than it's worth. You have the option of buying a Skyline that has passed
inspection, but the rumors are out there, that the gov is
calling back all previously passed Skylines for RE-inspection.
At which point they will sieze the car if you can not pass it.
